NEVER ENOUGH MONEY TO DO IT THE FIRST TIME, ALWAYS MONEY TO DO IT OVER

I am wondering why it hasn't dawned on most Americans that we are in the fix we are in in the Gulf Coast because this administration has been busy frittering away our money and other resources on things that have NOTHING to do with preparedness for this Hurricane, DESPITE this EXACT SCENARIO having been on FEMA's TOP 3 list of potential disasters that could befall America.

AND IT WAS "SIMULATED" LAST YEAR - didn't they find the holes in their gameplan then?

Why weren't millions spent before this disaster, to avoid the BILLIONS that we must now spend? Precisely because this administration was busy being ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL, as they have been since the first time they tricked their way into office in 2000.

I feel for the unfortunate souls in the Gulf Coast who have seen their lives and dreams and jobs and economies turned to sh*t before their very eyes... but it's been remarkable to watch the "spin" and "reversal" that has been forthcoming from Washington, trying valiantly to point the finger of blame on others - for a President who says he doesn't want to play the "blame game", White House minions have been doing a very good job of "suggesting" the fault isn't that of the Fed, whenm in point of fact, they MUST take responsibility for the unpreparedness of our nation for the disaster that has befallen the Gulf.

AMERICANS - there is ONLY ONE WAY to make a mid-course change in the disastrous path of this naton's ship of state - you MUST GET INVOLVED, and STOP BEING APATHETIC, and VOTE in RECORD NUMBERS to OUST the Conservatives who have caused this nightmare -
now I'm not syaing that Liberals are angels, but conpared to the malfeasence in office that the administration of Bush 43 has caused, Bill Clinton's "pecadilloes" seem downright trivial by comparison.

Instead of spending DAYS debating picayune little Clinton-isms, and bringing our government to a crawl, the Republicans should have been being BI-PARTISAN and HELPING. But they didn't, likely becasue they CAN'T.

My daddy used to say - "If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem".
Well, guess where the problem lies today? Who's in the Majority? right you are...

Did you watch the shameful SHAMEFUL floor debate this morning with Rep. Drier (who I am sad to say lives in California) attempting to paint ANY debate or complaints about the so-called "bi-partisan" House Katrina Investigation Committee as being 'Un-Patriotic" and "Partisan" - SHAMEFUL - how do they get away with this?

it's simple to explain - YOU ALL DON'T CARE WHAT'S GOING ON IN WASHINGTON,
or are of the perception that you cannot CHANGE IT - but you CAN!

STAND UP AND BE COUNTED -
DO SOMETHING TO MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER
DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THIS NATION BETTER
DO SOMETHING TO ASSURE OUR HEIRS THAT THEY WON'T BE LIVING IN A THIRD WORLD NATION - because if you DON'T, they certainly WILL BE.

DON'T BE FOOLED by the very professionally run "CIRCUS" put on by this administration - at every turn, they will bullsh*t you into believing that what is white is black, and what is wrong really isn't - and by the way, it's unpatriotic to disagree, especially in "time of war".

Remember Marie Antoinette? "Let them eat cake"?
This adminstration's approach is to treat us like mushrooms:
"Keep 'em in the dark, and feed 'em sh*t"

Respectfully submitted, Mr. President, "Get a Clue" -

For over 200 years American have fought and died for our right to question our government, and to speak our minds (within the reasonable limits of public safety)

GET BUSY AMERICA -
SPEAK YOUR MIND -
TELL WASHINGTON HOW YOU FEEL

And then VOTE THE TROUBLEMAKERS OUT OF OFFICE -

Start in 2006, when republicans should begin to feel the wrath of the nation they treat with such disdain, and continue in 2008 when we should NOT BE STUPID ENOUGH to put a SECOND CONSERVATIVE into office behind THIS BOZO -

Are you all so young as to not remember the dismal legacy of REAGAN and BUSH 41?

WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND
THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THE CHANGE???

of course, that's just MY opinion...
