Oh, hell - here we go again

It's the silly season again... Presidential Campaign Season

If there's a thinking American out there who doesn't yet recognize the futile nature of the Republicans' attacks against the current democratic candidates, I'm appalled.

Even the "Decider-in-Chief", (whose 'wise' decisions have clearly put America in the crapper) couldn't resist the opportunity today to become "Pundit-in-Chief", despite his earlier promise to stay out of the fray. Clearly, they are worried.. and rightly so...

It gets even worse when you listen to any of the bloviating Right-wing "spokespersons" who are refusing to condemn the recent over-the-top wretched excess diatribe by Ohio hate-radio jock Bill Cunningham during a McCain rally in Ohio. In attempting to "spin" the dialog about Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Obama, these right-wing folks actually loft the idea that the inexplicable comments by Cunningham were somehow permissible within the bounds of good taste. Jeez Louise - is that what it's come to in the USA? Anything goes?

The right wing is truly scared at this point, because the best they can field into the 2008 election is Senator McCain, who looks like he will lead America lock-step into a third George W. Bush term of office.

Even assuming that McCain's recent pronouncement of remaining in Iraq "for a hundred years" was just campaign-trail hyperbole, it's scary to think what plans he really has for the country, should he be elected.

It's time for change, certainly. We need change in leadership, and more importantly, a change in the playing field. Over the last 7 unfortunate years that "W" has reigned over the USA, the middle class have seen their dreams dashed time and time again, and have watched while the Republican administration has presided over morphing the American dream into an American nightmare!

when will it end? Soon, I hope..

Americans need to come back to their senses, and realize that they have to vote FOR their best interests, not AGAINST them. This does NOT mean electing yet another Republican who will continue to push the Bush administration's policies of favoring Big Business over Americans.

It also means that there needs to be a politics of hope, rather than a politics of despair.
Senator Obama promises this, Senator Clinton does not.
